WhatsApp CRM Integration

Bring WhatsApp Business conversations into MapleConnect — capture leads, reply with AI, and keep every chat on the contact’s timeline. Connected via the WhatsApp Business API or Zapier.

WHATSAPP → MAPLECONNECTWAWhatsAppMapleConnectAutomations

You can connect WhatsApp to MapleConnect so inbound conversations stop living on someone’s phone and start living in your CRM — next to that contact’s calls, SMS, email, and bookings. New messages can create or update a contact, the AI chatbot can draft or send replies, and the full thread is logged to one shared history.

To be straight with you: this is not a one-click native app. WhatsApp business messaging runs through the official WhatsApp Business API, which you set up with Meta and a Business Solution Provider (BSP). From there you route messages into MapleConnect using our REST API and webhooks, or wire it up with Zapier for a no-code path.

The payoff is that WhatsApp becomes just another channel in the same all-in-one system — AI chatbot, SMS, email, and booking included — instead of a separate inbox nobody is watching.

What you can do

Once WhatsApp is connected

Capture WhatsApp leads into the CRM

A first message from a new number can create or update a contact in MapleConnect, so an inbound WhatsApp enquiry becomes a tracked lead instead of an unanswered chat sitting on a phone.

Let the AI chatbot reply

Once conversations are routed in, MapleConnect’s AI chatbot can answer common questions, qualify the lead, and route the conversation — handing off to a human whenever it’s needed.

Log every conversation to the contact

WhatsApp messages are written to the contact’s timeline alongside calls, SMS, email, and bookings, so anyone on the team sees one complete history instead of a siloed thread.

Trigger cross-channel follow-up

A WhatsApp reply — or the absence of one — can kick off an SMS, an email, a task, or an AI voice call from the same workflow, so no lead goes cold because it came in on a different channel.

Reply from the contact record

Message a WhatsApp contact in context from MapleConnect, subject to WhatsApp’s session and template-message rules, so you’re not constantly switching between apps to keep a conversation going.

Connect — via API

How to connect WhatsApp to MapleConnect

  1. 01

Set up WhatsApp Business API access

Create a WhatsApp Business API account through Meta Business Manager and a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP). This is a Meta requirement and a prerequisite — MapleConnect doesn’t resell or bypass it.

  2. 02

    Route messages into MapleConnect

Use MapleConnect’s REST API and inbound webhooks so new WhatsApp conversations create or update contacts and log to the timeline automatically.

  3. 03

    Or connect with Zapier

Prefer no-code? Trigger on a new WhatsApp message through your provider’s Zapier app, then add an action that creates or updates a MapleConnect contact and records the message.

  4. 04

Wire up the AI and follow-up

Connect the AI chatbot, contact assignment, and follow-up sequences to inbound WhatsApp events so replies and routing happen automatically.

You connect through the official WhatsApp Business API. Set up an API account with Meta and a Business Solution Provider, then route messages into MapleConnect using our REST API and webhooks — or use Zapier for a no-code path. It’s not a one-click native app, but it’s a well-trodden, reliable path.
No. MapleConnect doesn’t offer a prebuilt native WhatsApp app. WhatsApp connects via the WhatsApp Business API (through a provider) routed into MapleConnect, or via Zapier. We’d rather be honest about that than overpromise a button that doesn’t exist.
Yes. Business messaging on WhatsApp runs through the WhatsApp Business API, which you set up with Meta Business Manager and a Business Solution Provider first. Plain consumer WhatsApp doesn’t offer the API needed to connect a CRM properly.
Yes — once WhatsApp conversations are routed into MapleConnect, the AI chatbot can answer FAQs, qualify leads, and route the conversation, with handoff to a human whenever you want one in the loop.
Yes. Messages are logged to the contact’s timeline next to calls, SMS, email, and bookings, so your team works from one shared history instead of a separate WhatsApp inbox.
Your WhatsApp Business API provider and Zapier may have their own fees — those are outside MapleConnect. MapleConnect’s own pricing stays flat: Free, Essential $199, Professional $299, and Premium $399.
